The vision and mission of Gaulaxmi, spearheaded by His Holiness Shri Ramesh Baba Ji Maharaj, represent a noble effort to revive the reverence and protection of cows, aligning with the cultural and spiritual ethos of Krishna's time. The initiative aims not only to provide shelter and care for abandoned and sick cows but also to serve the environment and the surrounding community.

The underlying philosophy emphasizes the sacredness of the cow and its integral role in prosperity and spirituality. Unfortunately, contemporary circumstances have led to a decline in the respect and care for cows, with economic pressures often leading to their mistreatment and slaughter.

In response, Gaulaxmi has been established with the ambitious goal of providing shelter to a vast number of cows, with a vision to accommodate over 100,000 cows. The project operates on the principles of selfless service, with a commitment to providing shelter to every cow in need, irrespective of financial considerations.

The uniqueness of Gaulaxmi lies in several aspects:

Rescued Cows Only: It is the only Gaushala in the country that houses 100% rescued cows, highlighting its dedication to providing sanctuary to vulnerable animals.

Innovative Care: The Gaushala continuously experiments with new ways to provide care for the approximately 55,000 cattle under its care, demonstrating a commitment to improving animal welfare standards.

Financial Transparency: Unlike many similar initiatives, Gaulaxmi has not solicited donations for its day-to-day expenses. Instead, it relies on raising awareness and encouraging individuals to fulfill their cultural obligation to serve by contributing in whatever capacity they can.

Focus on Non-Milky Cows: Despite the economic incentives associated with milky cows, Gaulaxmi prioritizes the care of non-milky cows, demonstrating a commitment to compassion over profit.

Inclusive Shelter: The Gaushala has never turned away any rescued or sick cows seeking refuge, exemplifying its dedication to the principle of providing shelter to all in need.
